How sad must that flight have been for Gerry and Kate McCann returning home from Portugal without little Madeleine . Each one of us can relate to feeling sad when having to return from holiday but having to return under these circumstances where a family of five comes back as four has to be the most painful and heartbreaking happening in a person`s life one could ever endure. Aside from losing their dearest little Madeleine - Gerry and Kate McCann now stand accused of accidentally killing their daughter over four months later. If the investigation into the disappearance of Madeleine was properly devised in the first place should this accusation have not been sanctioned earlier?
Gerry and Kate`s decision to leave the kids unsupervised on that night is something they will have to live with for the rest of lives behind bars in Portugal if this all goes wrong.
Are the McCanns being framed for the inept actions of how the Portuguese police handled this missing person`s case? However the evidence the police have surely does have you thinking about "Why Kate did wash Madeleine`s cuddly toy" and "Why her bible lay open at the page where David slain his son" and even how she screamed that some one had taken her child on the night she found Madeline missing "How could she know" the mind boggles as to why they were not formal suspects in the beginning like Robert Murat. Why now people are asking - is it because of the blood found in the car they hired "Twenty five days later"
Gerry and Kate must be going through hell but let us not lose focus as to why all this is happening in the first place. The search must go on for Madeleine because until we have proof that Madeleine is at god`s side then there is hope she may still be alive.
My own personal views on the matter change all the time, one minute my heart goes out to Gerry and Kate for their suffering but then what of Madeleine`s suffering. With the way this case is going I do not know what I feel any more.
I have never once doubted that Gerry and Kate had anything to do with their daughter`s disappearance and still stand by that unless evidence proves otherwise, so as they say "innocent until proven guilty".
There was only one thing I could never understand and that was the absence of flowing tears from any member of the McCann family, (Maddies parent`s grandmother uncles and aunts) don`t people with a broken heart cry.
I have done enough crying over Madeleine like she were my very own and I will continue to pray each day for her to come home where she belongs with her mum, dad, brother Sean and sister Amelie. God bless you Madeleine McCann.

Top-level comments on this article: (2 total)I am not sure whether it helped or not. My heart tells me that the McCanns are innocent, they are scape goats over the "crazy" way this whole situation has been dealt with. I also cannot believe that a parent could dispose of a child, then have dinner. These people are normal people, so they don;t cry. People deal with things is different ways, that does not mean they are guilty. I hope to God this is just a vendetor as like most I have shed, in private, many tears over maddie, I still have the ribbon on my handbag. I think no matter what has happened Kate and Gerry will be used as scape goats. In this sad world people love to attack and aport blame in their quest for a result no matter who is the target, results are everything even if the arrow is pointing in the wrong direction. It is now turning into a McCarthy witch hunt in my eyes.
I am just scared that the juggernaut will turn into a Lindy Chemberlain case, where 'must have done it' circumstantial evidence led to a conviction. As for tears, everyone is different. I cry every time I watch the end of The Railway Children. But barely when we lost our baby as a cot death. For instance, questions are raised about Kate saying 'They've taken her' ie using the plural. This is a perfectly normal northern way of expressing 'someone unknown'. I still find it inconceivable that the McCanns are guilty of anything other than being naive and overtrusting in the first place, and possibly with their friends having had a bottle or two more wine than maybe helped them all remember clearly exact times and sequences of events afterwards.
