It's funny how some people that look to lose weight still find it hard to admit they are fat, and therefore do their best to dodge answering any questions which may have them admit to being overweight. Unless an obese person see`s them self as obese then a diet will never be given a second thought. How can a fat person carrying excess flab and, who deny them self the truth ever be expected to see they have a problem if they won`t own up.
Are you ready yet to admit that you have a weight problem, if so let us look at ways to shed those pounds while at the same time eat the foods you enjoy. It is all about balancing your daily diet. Some folk find it hard to follow a diet set by others. If you be one of these people then don`t follow their set rulings. Make it more fun, interesting and rewarding by creating your own diet plan. Although we say do not commit yourself to follow orders of others, however what we didn't say is, not to take some of their advice and tips. There are weight loss books and recipes to be found online.
Lest us work on putting a daily diet and plan to help you lose weight. Let us assume that joining a gym is out of the question because you are just too damned lazy to pick up a dumbbell. If your reason be other like not able to afford a gym membership, fine, because there are other ways to substitute gym works outs in the home.
Are you a couch potato, if so get rid of the couch. If you are married to a fat slob that never leaves the couch then make it as uncomfortable as possible. Your potato head husband/wife will not laze around for long if you put tins/stones under the cushions or layer the couch with scrubbing brush bristles. Will this work, of course, because your fat lazy partner will do their best to avoid exerting them self.
Back to the more serious stuff for losing weight, that is if you are serious about wanting to lose it. Yes that's right you have to want lose weight because "you" want to, and not for the sake of others. If you have made up your mind to lose weight then it will be a decision you will never regret from a health point of view.
Your DIY diet should include dos and don`ts i.e. "do" yourself a favor and "don`t" let yourself down.
Highlighting some simple but yet effective things you can do which will help bring your weight down.
- Grill food and throw frying pan away so not tempted to use
- Eat fruit over cakes/chocolate
- Nibble raw carrots/celery as opposed to nibbling biscuits
- Substitute sugar with fruit segments in morning cereal
- One spoon of sugar in tea/coffee if two is normally taken (sweeteners more ideal.)
- Drink half a beer instead of a pint
- Swap butter for low fat margarine
- Use semi skinned milk as opposed to full fat milk - working down to skimmed
- Break chocolate bar into squares and eat a square individually at different times
- Cut down on white bread and eat brown or ryvitas
- Low fat products are just as tasty as foods not low in fat and are a far healthier option.
DIY Home Exercises
1. We are all aware of how walking is a healthy way to keep the body conditioned and help keep the weight down. Nevertheless although fat people know this, they still catch a bus, taxi or drive the car. If your destination is within walking distance then walk.
2. Using the stairs because of necessity is a great form of exercise, nonetheless even without purpose to scale the heights you will benefit if you make them a purpose.
3. Everyone loves to dance but somehow it is taken for granted that the hips should only be gyrated on a dance floor. Dancing on the spot while peeling the spuds, - or moving the body while you Hoover the floor will keep your weight under control.
4. Online shopping, one of life`s greatest happenings since sliced bread but sadly has created a lazy streak in many of us. Make a day to walk round the shops while at the same time keeping up with all the gossip with friends, who like you traipse the stores to lose weight also.
Spring cleaning the home will have you sweat your plums off and into the bargain a spick and span house.
These are just some ideas to help you put together your own weight loss DIY program. If I have hit a nerve along the way talking of obesity in the way of calling you fat, then it is not intended as an insult - more like a prod to make you get up and do something about it, so, that when you smile it is one of sincerity.
