Today, removing pubic hair is fast becoming a real issue of concern. One most queried worry among men and women is, is it a safe thing to do. And another in relation to pubic hair removal is what the best way to rid unwanted hair is. I can however highlight what I believe to be the best way for removing pubic hair, but would I be right - because each to their own. We all have our own difference of opinion, and what I see as best may appear as a biased one. Some people prefer to shave off their pubic hair, while others prefer their private parts waxed. Due to "embarrassment" of having to bare their bits, shaving is more often than not chosen over waxing simply for this reason, while vice versa, others opting for a wax do so to avoid possible razor burn and stubble. Removing pubic hair from round the vagina or penis is quite common as like with shaving away anal hair also.

Is there a best way to removing pubic hair, well only you can answer this? You need to experiment and find the ideal method suited to you. Pubic hair is not a topic much talked about and yet nothing to be ashamed of, however, still not a topical subject so therefore people rely upon getting their learning from reading up on particular concerns from books or online.

Is there any truth - that pubic hair is a throwback from ancient relatives who needed hair all over to keep warm? If that be the case, then UK residents should think twice before removing their pubic hair. You have choice of 3 common options for ridding unwanted hair, shaving, and waxing and laser hair removal.

Shaving

Is it easy to shave pubic hair off, yes and no? Yes if you're an expert and no if a novice. Overtime shaving gets easier. Is there a knack to shaving, yes most certainly - as like with most other things we do in life? When shaving pubic hair it is of the utmost importance to use a clean sharp razor. Nasty cuts of the skin can result from using blunt blades on top of snagging pubic hair.

The first step you should take is to trim down long hair to a reasonable length to get a smooth clean shave. Trim with scissors, clippers or you can you use an electric razor. This is not a job to be done with speed as it can be dangerous. Allow time for shaving the pubes.

Once hair is shorn close to the skin, soak the area in warm water or cover with damp warm flannel. This helps soften hair. Now lather what hair is left with shaving cream or shaving gel. It is not recommended to dry shave and if possible avoid using soap.

Although we associate Vaseline to a baby`s bottom then why not associate it with your own. Vaseline will help you get a closer shave. To avoid ingrown hairs, shave in the same path that the hair grows. Resist the urge to go back over the same area; same spot shaving can have you scrape the skin. Try stretching the skin as this will help get at awkward spots. If you're not embarrassed ask for the assistance of your spouse or partner, just make sure they have a steady hand. The consequences of a shaky hand and a razor can be very serious indeed. Once the pubic hair is shaved off and washed, then gently exfoliate using a mild soap to cleanse the pores. You will know if you have nicked the flesh when the skin stings. Moisturize with products containing Vitamin E. More people choose to be waxed instead of shaving because pubic hair is not so fast in growing back and tends to grow back less coarse.

Hair removal waxing kits can be bought for personal use. Nevertheless you should consider if having hair removed this way is to let a professional do the waxing and learn from them. Waxing involves layering hot wax on strips of cotton cloth. Waxed strips are then applied to the pubic area, allowed to dry and in one foul swoop stripped off the area very quickly (ouch.) Remember, no pain no gain. A professional would probably tweeze stragglers left behind. Use products that include aloe Vera i.e. moisturizer on the waxed area.

Laser Hair Removal

As like all treatments there is always the expense to consider, but laser hair removal can be the much more costly. This is a semi-permanent to permanent hair removal procedure. The process involves the use of a laser beam that targets a square area of hair or a specific hair, the follicle is heated to a temperature that slows down hair growth. Expect redness of the skin and little swelling after treatment.

A quick and simple way to remove unwanted hair on the legs and arms is with the use of depilatory creams. Depilatory creams contain gentle caustic chemicals that contain sodium and calcium thioglycolate and they were first patented in the 1930s for removing the hair from cattle hides. When cream is applied to the skin, it dissolves the keratin in any hair shafts, giving a hair removal that goes just below the surface of the skin. Unlike other beauty products, these creams can smell unpleasant.

Many moons ago, prostitutes shaved their pubic hair, possibly as a way to avoid getting "crabs." Because of this women never gave it a second thought for doing this for them self, however, since invention of the VHS is what ultimately would start the craze as it exists today. A craze trend or fad we associate to something we rave about today and gone tomorrow, however pubic hair removal is here to stay today and every day thereafter.
