Vaginal pimples, what are they, why do I have them, could they have been prevented, and how do I treat them. These are all regular questions that women either ask their doctor or themselves. Well first it is not you - you should be asking. Your GP is the person in a position to determine whether vaginal acne is the true problem. Of course by all means if you`re condition is treatable by your own hand, then fine, but before treatment begins make sure you are positively accurate with your diagnosis.
Vaginal pimples can be caused by the following:
- Bacteria in the pores that cause infection
- Hyperactive sebaceous glands
- Hormonal mood swings
- Tight clothing round the genitals
- Washing powder detergents and fabric conditioners can also be causes
Because the skin round the vagina is sensitive it is best not to use unfamiliar topical acne treatments or other as they can irritate the skin and cause serious discomfort. When bathing the infected site use a mild soap. Your doctor may prescribe an oral medication such as tetracycline, erythromycin or tretinoin. Sometimes birth control pills are prescribed to regulate out of balance hormones. Birth control pills have many benefits; however you should not decide to use these for whatever the reason which you think gives you reason to pop a pill.
To heal or prevent vaginal pimples is to make sure that clothing round the genitals is slack. You should consider changing the laundry detergent you are using, as harsh ingredients can cause skin problems. Acupuncture is not ruled out as to being an effective form of treatment for curing vaginal pimples. Some women tend to "pop spot" sqeeze them, this is not wise for fear the pimples are related to another disease. They can also be confused with a boil. A boil can present itself much like a pimple, however they are normally larger and more painful to the touch so squeezing is out of the question.
What is the difference between genital warts herpes and vaginal pimples? Knowing the difference will certainly help speed up the healing process. Genital warts are a flesh color or grey type growths that are raised or flat on, in and around the genitals. They normally grow in mounds clustering in resemblance to that of a cauliflower, or they can appear solo. Female genital warts usually show inside and outside of the vagina and inner thighs. The anal region can also be infected where the warts grow in and outside too. Male, genital warts display on the penis, scrotum, testicles, anus, groin and thighs.
We associate genital warts and the cause to that of the human papillomavirus (HPV). You should not depend on the visual presence of genital warts to establish if someone is infected. Genital warts the hide and seek of all diseases, meaning they either never appear or can show up years after contracting the virus.
Herpes symptoms are not always easy to identify because of how they vary on each individual and do not always appear as expected. In fact, some people show little to no symptoms at all. Herpes is caused by the Simplex 1 and Simplex 2 virus which more often than not are accountable for the oral and genital versions, respectively. In reply to what does herpes look like will depend on what part of the body reveals the symptoms. Notable signs of genital herpes are lesions appearing in and around the genitals of the infected person. Warts normally show round the penis and testicles in men, on the outer and inner vaginal parts of women and in the anal area and inside the urethra of both genders. Particularly in the vagina, genital herpes lesions can be impossible to see - but with the help of modern science they can. Because many people are not sure of what herpes looks like, and because symptoms can imitate other skin disorders and sexually transmitted diseases, it's vital to have unexpected and unusual looking sores checked by your doctor.
At the end of the day it should not be you worrying over differences, obvious reasons for your concern is you may have found something unusual. Well while you`re being concerned treatment could be taking place. Any difference of opinions on a health issue from friends and family who mean well can be dangerous. If there is to be a second opinion on determining vaginal pimples then it should come from your GP.

Top-level comments on this article: (4 total)No this article was not helpful AT ALL !! I must be a retard or something but I think it would be a lot easier for a person trying to compare Vaginal pimples to hpv warts to actually be able to SEE pictures of what they are comparing. The useless description that is given here is not descriptive enough for anyone to learn anything more than they knew before they got on here. Thanks for the no help !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously , Removing negative comments. I guess freedom of speech is dead along with helpful medical information. I will just post it somewhere else that it can't be deleted Thanks again.Hi, now that you have that off your chest no doubt you feel better. And for you to feel even more better I am leaving your comment where it is as I have no intention of removing it. It is remarks and critsism like yours that gives reason for others to support or oppose what you say. This sort of activity gives cause to create a great chat forum. Thanks for your contribution.Keep wellkacy

I actually found this article to be very helpful. Pictures would be helpful in understanding the difference. However the main thing to be learned from this article is that trying to figure this out with out help from a medical professional is a bad idea! You could easily misinterpret what your reading our seeing (if there were pictures) and worry unnecessarily. Instead of spending a lot of time on the internet you should be on the phone making an appointment to see a doctor. If you are extremely worried and stressed, or experiencing a lot if pain, rather than looking for an easy cure or answer, open your phone book and see if your area has a walk-in clinic and go get it checked out.Thank you whoever you are for coming here and letting women know the importance of having an accurate diagnosis. Your time is much appreciated

Hi Kacy, well I sort of stumbled on this article but I was not aware of vaginal pimples at all. It was an interesting read nevertheless, at least I'm more well informed as a result.Hey Ken its always good to be in the know even though men don't get "vaginal" pimples (lol) because there's every possibility that their partner might.
Stay safe
