King of the jungle, who was it now, oh yeah it`s come back to me, was it not the Joe Swash I have supported all the way though his jungle experience. "I told you so." I think I promised to utter these words when Joe was crowned king in my last article. Well I always keep my promise so here we go "I told you so."

There was no need of battle towards the end with Martina and Joe sitting on the log, accompanied by their fellow camp mates all scrubbed up and dressed in their finery, waiting for the result on whether it is king or queen of the jungle. Hands up to George and Martina for doing as well as they did to get this far in "I`m a celebrity get me out of here." Martina Navratilova showed her true strength that many believed was only ever to be seen on a tennis court, when she went head to head with all species of jungle critters on her last Bush tucker trial. It is shame that this program cannot have more than one winner because all three last competitors were worthy of the title.

As for George, the 71 year old with a fitness-level better than most half his age needs to be congratulated on coming third in the competition. George said on his last trial that he thought "gourmet" to help him get through his eating trial. Gentleman George kept his composure while he tucked into kangaroo penis and grubs, however there is limit to how far a person will go, and George was no exception, and drew the line showing the white flag when served camel testicles. Did he get the hump at this stage of the trial, who knows? The ambience in camp was somewhat unexplainable with three great heroes who weathered the storm so as to speak. Joe and George will feel it now on their parting of the ways, even though they have promised to keep in touch, George being in Los Angeles, and Joe in London. Well I hope they do keep in touch because their relationship in camp was very touchy feely in a nice heartfelt way, and for no other reason. Nevertheless who will kiss George goodnight now, it doesn`t bear thinking about.

Well Joe you did it, and it was not just me who believed in you, but the thousands of viewers who warmed to you for being real and true. You didn`t need to take on a false identity to take the crown. Could this be why the other competitors were voted out early? Joe you were genuine and had no game plan? Had this been your intention when going into the jungle, then the throne may not have accommodated your bum, or, we may have been denied seeing how proud your mum was, giving you what looked like a bear hug when you crossed the bridge with the foliage crown gracing your head.

Special Skills: Lifting, carrying and playing practical jokes. (It is because of this Joe is why you won)
