Is it unusual for a woman to have nipple hairs, no it is not? It's funny how this is acceptable for men but when hair grows on the breasts it is deemed a taboo issue. Casting our minds back can you recall the media chaos that followed Julia Roberts's show of hairy armpits at the premiere of her film Notting Hill in the nineties? This exact response proved it to be a rather worrying illustration of how ingrained the relationship between hairlessness and feminity has become.
There is much debate over why women spend as much money as they do on body-altering traits such as weight loss plans and undergoing cosmetic surgery, but when it comes to hair removal, although common and just as expensive, is not a valid matter for argument. Body hair is a typical show of physical maturity; however 92 % cent of women feel obligated to remove it. Female body hair is supposedly seen as ugly. It is said that men prefer their women hairless; how can they be sure about this. Does this assumption account for each man on the universe (I don`t think so.) Any hot blooded male will have his own personal fetish in what he sees as ugly or sexy. Some men have admitted they are turned on by this and find female body hair sexually attractive.
It is round the time of puberty when women experience major changes to their body like sudden growth of hair on various parts (nipples.) Regardless of culture most women have nipple hair but because it is so fine it goes unnoticed. Sadly for the min-ute few they don`t.
Although a certain amount of body hair is considered natural, "sudden growth" like becoming hairy over night should have you should see your GP as this can indicate other problems. Nipple hair affects only a minority and is a common concern. Plucking is the favored option for removing them. Laser therapy gives a better lasting effect but seems an overreaction for removing a couple of nipple hairs; it is also an expensive process into the bargain.
Threading is complicated and can be difficult. It is a form of plucking which includes twisting a loop of thread (cotton) across the skin. It's chiefly used with eyebrow hair. You need to know what you are doing before initiating a process you are not familiar or comfortable with.
If you`re considering the method of epilating then be aware as it is painful so be prepared. In saying that, women often become oblivious to pain towards matters which involve beautifying their body. What an epliator does is basically rip the hair out of the body; hence the pain we talk about. It is made of a coil that moves in a circular motion rapidly. It is not 100% for ridding baby fine hairs.
If you struggle with plucking nipple hairs from around the areola then try waxing them. Alternatively you might try "sugaring" where you make up a paste made of sugar. Another option is laser hair removal or electrolysis. This is an expensive form of treatment for ridding nipple hair and requires several removal sessions which may not result in permanent hair removal and on top of that leaving you with a big hole in your pocket.
Other Breast Issues
Is it normal to have pain in the nipples when on your periods? Yes, menstruation is a common time for experiencing nipple discomfort. Nipple pain before your periods normally eases up when the period arrives. This is often also associated with pain in the rest of the breasts, a sense of engorgement, heaviness or fullness, and increased lumpiness. These symptoms are considered normal and part of premenstrual syndrome. If these symptoms persist after the period has been and gone, then your GP may suggest having a mammogram or ultrasound.
Breasts need to be checked regular to stay healthy. Breast awareness is not only about looking for abnormal lumps but also for
- Change in the size or shape of the breasts
- Skin change – dimpling or puckering
- Nipple discharge
- Breast pain
- Lumpy areas or thickening of the breast
If you detect a lump it does not mean it is something of a serious nature, nevertheless it still needs checking out to eliminate matters that maybe matters of a serious nature.Breast cancer symptoms vary widely mainly appearing as lumps to swelling to skin changes. Some breast cancers may not have symptoms at all. Symptoms alike to breast cancer could be merely the result of a non-cancerous condition like infection or a cyst. Women over the age of 40 are more at risk for the disease. Of course this is no reason for you to panic just because you are nearing forty. They say life begins at 40 so enjoy it and live it..
