Hey girls why all the panic, okay so you have a vaginal rash, what`s the big deal. I am sorry for being harsh, but the number is great in young girls that notice redness around their vagina and then tend to become manic over their sighting and cause themselves unnecessary worry. I cannot emphasise enough that a vaginal rash is common, and should it not be a result of a vaginal infection or sexually transmitted disease then it really is nothing to worry about. Think about it girls, if the vagina is enclosed in tight clothing all day it rubs the delicate skin every time you move, or if you sweat profusely around genitals and there is no breathing space then you can expect some rashes to appear simply because of this. I am not saying this is the reason for yours; however we cannot rule them out to being the cause just like we cannot rule out if your vaginal rash is caused by other.

A vaginal rash is not a life threatening condition but it is one of an irritant and unbearable at times. The coming about of a genital rash we associate with various infections like:

Although I blatantly pointed out earlier that a vaginal rash is nothing to worry about, it is still in your best interest to have your GP check you out just in case it is something to be worried about. If your doctor diagnoses it is a rash then at the same time you can get a prescription to help relieve the nasty symptoms (irritation, itchiness and pain) which can rise from the condition depending on severity. Vaginal rash is usually the outcome of different conditions, or sometimes as a precursor to something more serious. A rash as such can sometimes come under the guise of very serious conditions such as yeast infections, genital herpes and trichomoniasis.

Once you find out the cause of the vaginal rash, then the quicker you begin a course of treatment. If the rash is caused by your own mistreatment then warm water to bathe the infected area will help. Don`t use scented products. Plain water rinsing is best. Give the genitals room to breathe and slacken garments. Go without under garments till the rash goes if possible. Proper and continual care of the infected area will have you cure your problem in no time at all.

Let us say your condition is not a rash of simplicity even though the skin was "only" red and inflamed and had no show of pimples or warts etc. It doesn`t matter if there are no bumps or lumps you still need to have the problem treated by a medic in case the redness and inflammation is cause by another serious issue

A vaginal rash is nearly always reasoned by yeast infections when the fungus Candida is at its heights (large groups) in and around the vagina. When you sweat, it is not easily absorbed in this particular area because it is closed in. The genitals need to be kept dry and airy. Pressure from closure only creates more wetness, a wonderful environment for yeast fungi to grow.

If your vaginal rash is red and the skin inflamed then looking at the above given symptoms of specific genital infections it looks like we need to direct our attention to (Vulvovaginitis) which seems to fall into the category of your problem, that is, if your rash is not one that you encouraged yourself by wearing tight clothing or maybe not adhering to a strict hygiene pact with the vagina. Vulvovaginitis refers to inflammation of both the vagina and vulva, the outer area of labial and skin surrounding the vagina.

Irritating vaginal conditions are usually a result of harsh chemicals contained in some of our favorite bathroom products (scented soaps, creams, feminine sprays.) To avoid miseries then you have to stop using these products and replace them with specially formulated ones made purely for bathing and freshening up the vagina.
