Whatever you do plan it will include you at sometime having to venture outside into the scorching hot sunshine. Summer is a fabulous season; however, fabulous it is not for the skin. Sun worshippers especially have to very careful at this time of the year. We have seen much misery caused by the sun and in some cases very sad. The sun can kill, and you need to be remembering this for every time you step outside. Think, is a golden tanned skin for the time being which will in time eventually dry and wrinkle, really worth the risks. You could be sacrificing your health seriously if your skin goes without protection.

Summer skincare and what you need to know. - Sunlight stimulates hormone production; it allows for the synthesis of vitamin D, encourages skin cell renewal and donates to an overall sense of wellbeing. Sunlight also induces the making of melanin, a pigment that operates as the skin's natural sunscreen. But like most things abilities don`t last forever and therefore no protection from the sun. Too much exposure to the sun can result in severe consequences. Skin cancer is the most prevalent of all cancers. For women aged between the ages 30 to 34, melanoma runs a close second to breast cancer. The suns UVA rays penetrate the secondary layers of skin and destroy the collagen matrix, leading to the dehydration of the strateum corneum, or the uppermost layer hence "taut" skin resulting in a look and critical feel of dryness. This is also why photo-aging effects, such as wrinkles and fine line and skin creases become more apparent. It is vital to protect the skin to stop it from drying up. To keep the skin supple fresh and young looking it needs protection. Of course we have other sources that is not good for our skin so therefore these issues need to be addressed too if we want healthy skin regardless of whether the sun shines or not. Dry skin can also derive from conditions like eczema and psoriasis. If a summer skincare routine was not endorsed and the skin is already damaged then you need to treat the skin accordingly to improve it and bring it back to health.

Both sunscreens and sun-blocks offer added protection from the sun's harmful rays, but since they work in different ways, it's best to ask advice from your GP or local pharmacist on what is best for you and your skin type.

Below you will find some beauty summer skincare tips to help you not only feel good about yourself but most definitely look great. Get your cosmetics and wardrobe right this summer and half the battle is won. For the perfect look this summer, proper application of make-up and the way you present yourself when dressed is the key. Even though you may have chosen the right beauty products that match your skin type, remember, too much of a good thing can spoil. No matter how perfect the make-up, quality or brand it can still melt in the heat so you should consider working with your natural beauty

1. Use as little makeup as possible. Skin pores easily bung up with sweat and dirt during hot days. Let your skin breathe!

2. Swap face foundation for tinted moisturizer as foundation or powder can feel heavy on the skin.

3. Light neutral eye shadow shades are best. Instead of wearing black mascara use black to brown, or brown which are more suitable for the summer months? If brash bright shades were normally your forte for on the eyes then bring bold colors to the fingernails. Treat your finger and toenails before coating with nail varnish for that sharp expert look. Untidy nails attract attention. Waterproof cosmetics are best for hot weather. Choose bronzer for evening and blush anytime to create an image of sun-kissed

Make-up can only be deemed as giving a person a false identity. More times than not, cosmetics are used for concealing imperfections. If this be the case for you then you should treat the imperfection if possible saving you time and money. As with our own personal traits changing with the weather so does the skin behave differently too. So when caring for your skin this has to be taken into consideration making certain you are using the appropriate face creams, gels and beauty products to achieve the best results by using the right summer skincare range.

In the hot months your skin changes and tends to become greasier due to (humidity.) As humidity rises, so does moisture content in the skin. The outcome, skin becomes less dry and needs lighter moisturizers. Use hyaluronic acid based products for lightweight hydration. Much beneficial for the skin at this critical time is to use a face mask. They help to absorb surplus oil and help un-block and clean pores. Every now and again during the day freshen and clean up the skin up with an oil absorber.

Vitamin A products can make the skin more sensitive to the sun which is what you are looking to avoid. Instead use a Vitamin C based products. You don`t miss out by doing this, you will still get the anti-wrinkle benefits, but vitamin C will help protect against UV rays as well which are seriously dangerous to the skin and overall health.

If you`re plans include you being in the sun for extended lengths of time and you suffer from acne then you may want to find alternatives to Accutane, Retin-A, and Benzoyl Peroxide. These mentioned treatments make the skin more sensitive to the sun giving it an opening to burn more easily. Try an AHA or Salicylic Acid routine for the summer. Alpha hydroxy acids do not increase the skin's burning potential as much.

Summer Skincare Tips

If you think your body is overheating and you feel your skin burning then get in out of the sun if convenient. If there is nowhere to shade yourself then spritz, and spritz, and spritz some more. Also when the skin burns it is telling you to top up with that sunscreen that hopefully you have with you at all times when out in the sun, and especially more so if it is the midday sun. If you don`t then you may be one of them people referred to as a mad dog.

I'm glad I haven't been out in the sun that much this summer. I guess that's the only positive about staying inside!
