Labiaplasty - Is there such a thing as the perfect vagina? I don`t think there is anything whether in relation to the female anatomy or not that is truly perfect. Most things we can feel and touch will have a flaw in the making. Perfection is not possible to establish if we link it to vaginas because they come in all shapes and sizes. Women tend to be really conscious over their vagina in hope they are in possession of a perfect one. Cutting away at your labia sounds extreme, but it's happening all over the world where women in great numbers are going under the surgeon's knife. Some women who hate the look of their vagina turn to vaginal cosmetic surgery, specifically labiaplasty which involves cutting off the inner labia so that they don't ‘hang' below the outer labia. Hey girls just stop and think for a minute, cutting off something that came as a natural part of the body will not give you a perfect vagina, but one with a disability more like.

The labiaplasty business has skyrocketed over the past few years, and the list grows higher each day for women looking to beautify and perfect their vagina. In some cases of surgery a woman`s reason can run deep for the change. These women don`t look for vaginal perfection but more to that of having a clean vagina. These women may have been abused and want to rid the scars etc. There is evidently a hatred of vaginas at large in society therefore giving us the answer to why we see an increase in the number of women wanting to change the appearance of their vagina.

In the United Kingdom the primary types of vaginal surgery available are:

Before surgery you will speak with the surgeon who will be performing the vaginal surgery. At this time you get to clearly set out your expectations and whether the operation can give you what you want. The surgeon will assure you about any misconstrued assumptions that you may have made about what the operation may involve or other. Your consultation with the surgeon will include you giving a run down on your medical history.

It is not uncommon for snap shots to be taken as a "before and after" for comparison at a later date. Vaginal surgery is usually performed under a general anaesthetic. In some cases an alternative using a local anaesthetic and sedation can also be performed. If you`re still steadfast and your decision to undergo vaginal surgery still stands to acquire the perfect vagina then below is what to expect from having Labiaplasty surgery.

The labiaplasty operation normally lasts about 1 - 2 hours, and is usually treated as a day case, pending no complications during surgery rise.

There are two ways the operation might be carried out, either by reducing the surplus tissue along the edges of the labia by trimming along the inner folds until the labia no longer stick out, or by cutting out a ‘V' shaped wedge of tissue from the underneath of the labia, the edges of which are then sewn back together. This particular way leaves the front of the labia unaltered, making any signs of surgery less visible. Dissolvable stitches are the norm for closing incisions. And also a laser maybe used instead of a scalpel for cutting to reduce bleeding in the region. Laser purposes cauterize the blood vessels as it cuts.

As with any type of operation there are always the risks to consider. These should have been explained to you at the time of consultation with the surgeon. Not regular but can happen with surgery of this type is the threat of infection setting in (urinary tract infections.) others are reaction to the anaesthesia, blood or fluid gathering below the skin, prolonged bleeding, nerve damage, and an uneven or a "lop-sided" appearance to the labia after surgery. After the operation you will need to rest. You can expect slight bleeding and swelling. Bruising is usually minimal and goes in days. If all goes well you should be up and about doing what you normally do throughout the day within 48 - 72 hours, of course there will be certain things you need to avoid doing for maybe longer. Women who have undergone a labiaplasty normally resume their daytime job after a week. Complete curing takes about 6 weeks.

Taking into consideration all the above information, hopefully will tell you that designer vaginas are not natural, in fact very fake indeed. A perfect vagina is a natural one with labia still attached. My advice is to care for your vagina more intimately, and you will see a major improvement in appearance and it`s health. Having both the health and the look you will instantly fall in love with your vagina. Hold onto your bits because when God created woman he didn`t give us them to be cut off.

Did you know when you treat your own vaginal infection you rid vaginal odour at the same time.
