Holiday makeup – Where are you travelling to this summer for a holiday? Is it a hot country; if so are you ready for climate change, because hot means really "hot" in some places? Is your suitcase bulging at the seams looking like something that has the mumps because you stuffed all your worldly goods into it? Ask yourself is it necessary to take as much. More often than not people don`t wear half of the clothes they thought they looked good in at the time of packing. If it is hot where you`re going then concentrate on the more important things like, medication, sun protection and appropriate cosmetics (holiday makeup.) Clothes should be your last priority in regards to these. Your health comes first so avoid the nasties that can make you ill. Protect your skin at every possible convenience. Think about it, what`s the first thing people do in a country where the sun cracks the flag stones, you got it one they strip off for nearly all of the time of their duration.

You need to assess your beauty and skin-care needs for your vacation. It might be necessary to update your beauty products so your skin and other body parts get the protection they need while looking good at the same time. Your holiday makeup should be versatile; it has to suit holiday moods, particular occasions and situations. For instance: the beach, nightclubs, sightseeing trips, restaurants, and more. Holiday cosmetics are great for creating a different image, but hot conditions can seriously affect you`re chosen one if you wear the wrong shade of lipstick/eye shadow, or worse still your holiday makeup melts caused by the heat.

Cool trendy holiday makeup tips for the beach.

1. Should makeup be worn on the beach? Personal preference prevails on this matter for each individual. As long as you slap on the sun cream to the max then why not, if this is what you want. Most tinted moisturizers contain an SPF factor of which you will need a factor 15, higher if it's a place where the skin will bake. Consider using a non-greasy sunscreen stick for the face and apply it over moisturizer if you prefer. Face foundation doesn`t go well over sunscreen, in fact disastrous and it`s messy business also.

2. If facial skin appears a touch pale then use bronzer on the cheekbones or other. Be careful and don`t go over the top ending up looking like an orange. A lot of people make this mistake, and it`s not a pretty sight. Bronzer is a better option than foundation because it removes easy and is not quick to show blotchy when in and out of the sea/pool like foundation. Use a natural shade of cheek stain for the cheeks. Your face powder should be a few shades darker than your natural skin tone.

When you think beach – think "waterproof" especially with mascara.

3. Red is dead on the beach so keep your lips simple and shades light. –Clear lip gloss should be considered, or a pale shade of lipstick or tinted lip balm.

4. Mineral makeup is excellent for leveling out your complexion.

My own personal opinion about wearing makeup on the beach would be not to. All the stress included in them stolen hours where you continually have to re-apply makeup takes up to much time when you could be enjoying yourself. Natural is nice and best for the beach. Direct your energies towards getting your holiday makeup right for on the night.

Holidays give people the opportunity to let their hair down and involve themselves in leisure activities they hadn't the time to do at home. Seize the opportunity and paint the town red or better still the lips. The law of average on holiday you will meet with new friends, who you'll want to impress, so holiday makeup has to be right to achieve this.

Is it on the agenda to meet up with new friends you met at the pool for fun and relaxation, if so keep makeup basic and light? Stay casual in both dress sense and cosmetics. Sheer lip gloss in the shade of gold/mellow bronze is fabulous. For the double fabulous look wear a glossy sheer pink cream eye shadow. The cherry on the cake comes after light pink blush is dusted on the cheek bones for definition. Shade of mascara to compliment the above colors is deep brown for both upper and lower lashes.

If you`re new found friends have invited you over to have drinks at their villa and you want to look your best, then best is not good enough if the wrong holiday makeup for the occasion is unsuited. Of course clothes will always have a strong influence over shades of makeup you wear. So it`s your choice on the night. Nonetheless you could wear a midnight blue eye liner, kohl black or chocolate brown. Co-ordinate your eye shadow shade with eyeliner color. Don`t make the mistake of not applying a base to highlight your eyes. Mix and match shades of purple for the lips.

As it is with your suitcase about the cramming issue this also applies to holiday makeup items which need to be kept to a minimum. Cosmetics not used on holiday could evaporate making this vaction more of an expensive one than anticipated.

Cosmetics and toiletries can be heavy and bulky, plan ahead on what you are going to take with you. If you have skin issues that require special products, get a carry-on bottle kit from the chemist to avoid a confrontation with airport security. To lighten the load consider buying holiday makeup and bits and bobs abroad like deodorant, toothpaste, nail polish and remover, shampoo and other.  Beach towels take up to much space in your suitcase so buy abroad.

Don`t think for a minute that because you paid through the nose for an expensive brand of makeup that it won`t melt. Keep it cheap, effective and safe

Ideas on beachwear to go with your holiday makeup you tend on wearing.

1. A cost effective idea is to purchase a cute bathing costume and 3 bikinis in colors and fabrics you can mix and match.

2. Wear any other color than black as it draws sunlight. Anyhow the beach is considered a fun day out so make swimwear colors fun too, bright and in your face if need be.

3. Go for the sarong over a sundress. Three sarongs is a good number to bring on holiday in patterns and color matching your bikini and swimsuit. A sarong is a fundamental multi-purpose garment to have on your personal.

4. It`s not a good idea to wear jewelry while at the beach or dripping in gold going out of a night as what is yours could end up theirs (muggers.) Costume jewelry made from beads, crystals or shells make pretty appealing accessories and no real sad loss if robbed. Go to a market stall abroad and buy there.

5. If you`re a beach person then you don`t want to be carrying a case full of shoes. Buy flip flops for the pool/ beach. Sandals come in dressy trendy designs which are suitable for both evening and to wear on the beach.

6. A loose pair of slacks is more comfortable than jeans. Cotton/silk fabrics are best suited for hot climates and they go with a sarong.

7. Good quality sunglasses are essential to protect your eyes. Talk with your GP or optician if you wear contact lenses. Heat can cause them to become sticky and irritate the eyes causing damage.

Some "big overweight" women think that by wearing layers of makeup it will draw attention away from their shape or size, when in fact it does the complete opposite especially on the beach. Do the right thing and keep it natural and when people notice you it will be because of this.
