Are you thinking about getting married in Florida but stalling on making that all important decision to do so? Is the reason for your procrastination because you're not sure what to do, what is involved, or what to expect. Listen up you guys, less thinking and just do it, you won't be disappointed. Getting married in Florida is an experience and one every future bride and bridegroom should consider. Why you may well ask, well for one the Florida sunshine, and two the American accent. The Yankee brogue is a unique wedding element that makes a marriage in Florida different from anywhere else in the world when the Yankee man of the cloth pronounces you man and wife.
I have just witnessed my first wedding in Florida of which I did not want to attend but because it was my eldest son's wedding it was only right for me to be there. I now thank god that I did. It was a wonderful occasion and the ceremony unforgettable. The wedding vows were exchanged in a beautiful white gazebo allotted in the picturesque Leu gardens. The Gazebo was encased by lush green plantation and a vast variety of different tropical plants. What will stay with me forever is the fragrance that lingered through the air from the flowers, especially the gardenia. I would like to say thanks to the Yanks for a memorable "magical wedding" that was better than any Walt Disney ride "sorry Mickey."

What I love about the yanks whether in relation to getting married in Florida or not is, them famous words delivered by all Americans "HAVE A NICE DAY." This has to be the cherry on the cake for making any person's stay in Florida a pleasant one. This is not something that happens in the UK often. Could this be why we Brits come to Florida ? Should the British people endorse such pleasantries then maybe Florida wouldn't be quite so popular for weddings.
Our unforgettable Florida wedding which included the reverend, photographer and all necessary paperwork (marriage licence etc) was all organized online. All the happy couple had to do was to turn up on the day.
- Leu Gardens is approximately fifty acres in size
- The happy couple is not restricted to one area of the gardens for a photo shoot.
- Popular wedding photo sites in Leu gardens are within the Gazebo, Rose Gardens , and alongside the fountains or lakeside
- Wedding ceremonies take place in the Courtyard Gazebo from Monday through to Thursday - 11.30, 1.00 and 3.00pm.
- The marriage service and photo shoot takes about 1 hour
- Leu gardens close at 5pm so you can make a day of it strolling hand in hand to wollow in the tranquil settings and take in the breathtaking sights.
- Up to 25 of your wedding guests are comfortably accommodated at Leu Gardens . If you have plans to marry in Leu gardens Florida and you have over 25 people attending the marriage service there will be a further charge. The reason for this is because a bigger area with seating will have to be arranged.
- Leu Gardens only permits Bio-degradable confetti to be thrown over the bride and groom.

If you have made your mind up to get wed in Florida then you need to be prepared for the climate. And I mean prepared. This is one "hot" state of America where the heat at times can be unbearable, however if you are a sun lover then this is the ideal location for your wedding.
- You will need to choose a wedding gown and other wedding clothes you are going to be comfortable and cool in, as it is one very hot place.
- Select cosmetic products that won't be affected by the heat (smudge or run.)
- Wear comfortable wedding shoes as you may want to walk the full park. Open shoes is ideal to allow the feet air. Heat can swell the feet so have a second pair of wedding shoes on stand by.
- Use sun protection. A good quality one should be used to avoid staining the bridal gown
- Carry a parasol for shade from the sun.
- Use a strong deodorant/antiperspirant. Carry a roll-on deodorant and makeup items to touch up.
- Have some wet wipes easily to hand to freshen up and remove any stickiness when needed.

Hi im getting married 11th may this year. Wat was the weather in the afternoon like?? Im so excited hope it all goes as well as ur sons wedding xHi Danni be prepared because it is more than hot, but lovely. The weather was fabulous at the time my son got married but this is the norm for Florida. My son flys back out again in May. Since him and his now wife first visited Florida they have never stopped going back every year.. I think if it hadn't been for the place he would still be single. Oh god the sheer thought of him still living at home. You will love it Danni the Americans are nice people and the food is fab.
