When will my uterus return to normal size?

The uterus returns to pre-pregnancy size after about 6 weeks.

Most common pregnancy question that pops up regular is – is it safer to have a home birth or a baby in hospital. I am not in a position to answer this, but being a mother myself I believe hospital to be the safest place to give birth. Should complications rise while in the delivery room then all the medical equipment is easily to hand? Easily to hand saves lives.
