What kind of baby shower games is more likely played at a baby shower party? Of course it would be games of your own choosing, however because of the multitude of games out there, you may like a little guidance on what's on offer, and details about games you may not be aware of or heard about. Full of "fun" games that your friends will enjoy is the sort of activities you need to be looking for, as well as the games being amusing and strongly associated to the purpose for why they are being played. Some expectant moms tend to choose baby shower games based on their gathering of friends likes and dislikes, but doing this can have its drawback, although there are the pluses. You can't please everyone. At the end of the day this is about baby right and that is all that matters.
Baby shower games
Naming Baby
Give each guest a pen and paper and ask them to write down two baby names. Then ask them to make a list of as many words they can out of the names. Winner is the player with the most words. Set a guideline for no less than 3 letters to be used. You can extend game play by asking each person to hand their list of words to the person at their side. This person then has to try and guess the two names that were picked. (A type anagram game if you like) Now there's another thought for a game, anagrams of baby names or baby items.
Feeding Time
This game is vastly popular at baby shower parties. It includes cotton balls placed inside a basin with another empty basin standing alongside. Participants are blind folded and will attempt to transfer the cotton balls from one basin to the other with a spoon. Spoon size is your preference. A time limit for this baby shower game should be imposed at the start. The winner is the one with the most cotton balls moved.
Rice Bowl
Once again a favorite game played at baby shower occasions. Fill a bowl half-way with uncooked rice. In the rice hide safety pins (be careful). The guest is blind folded and is asked to retrieve the pins. Winner is the one who has salvaged the most pins in an allotted time period.
Guess the Guest
A baby shower game guaranteed to get laughs, or sneaky sniggers. Ask each guest to bring a photo along of them self when they were a baby. The photos should be handed to the host as they arrive. The fun starts when your guests try to identify other guests from the pictures, putting the right face to the right person.
Baby shower games are without question the most memorable experiences during the pre-baby events that take place for days to come. The best advice for anyone wishing to hold a baby shower party is to plan well in advance. If you have already done this and everything is in swing then that's great. You have to remember that not everyone invited will know each other so help break the ice and introduce them to each other as they enter the room.
Baby Items what's My Name?
Hand each guest a pen and paper and prompt them to write down as many baby products they can think of (feeding bottle, blanket, cot, pushchair, pacifier,) Winner is the woman who gets the most baby products named.
How Many Safety Pins
Fill a "glass" jar with safety pins and pass the jar around the women and have them guess the amount contained in the jar. The winner is the woman with the nearest calculation.
The Paper Baby
This game is much akin to pin the tail on the donkey only you will be using baby cut outs and a mommy cut-out with a big belly. Blindfold each player and then give them a paper baby of which they will attempt to place it as close to the tummy as possible. Winner is the woman who placed the paper baby closest on the tummy wins.
Feed me
Fill baby feeding bottles with milk or juice or whatever is the women's favorite tipple. All women will have to drink the fluid through a teat as if they were a baby. The woman who sucks the fastest will empty the bottle the quickest. And the quickest drinker will be declared the winner.
Baby Initials
Using pen and paper again ask each woman to write the babies Mom-To-Be and Father-To-Be names down vertically. Next to each letter of both names, create a word that is baby related or things that kids like. An example of using the names Pat and Tim:
P= pacifier T=teething
A= alphabet I=ice-cream
T= toddler M=mommy
The one, who guesses the most words that are the same as the mother-to-be, is the winner.
Abandon "Baby"
On a piece of string clip some safety pins and have each woman wear the pin chain around their neck. This is a much favored baby shower game where you are not mention the word baby whilst in play. Whenever someone says the word "baby" during the shower - the woman who hears this will take a pin from the chain of the woman who uttered the word. At the end of the baby shower, the woman wearing a chain full of safety pins wins.
It is good idea because you have winners is to give them a reward for their effort. Prizes also encourage people to play. And this is what you want to make the party awesome because it's true what they say, the more the merrier. Ask the women invited to come up with suggestions and put them in hat. Then pick one from the hat and whatever game is pulled out, you play. As stated earlier you can't please everyone, but you can be sure one person will be happy with your choice of baby shower games, and that is the donator of the suggestion you picked out.
Baby not sleeping through the night, if so, that means neither are you
