Lose weight - Are fat people really happy or are they just good actors. How many times have we heard the Bessie Bunter lookalike quote she is happy. How can she be when she has to buy two airline tickets to accommodate her butt, she can't run, and wobbles all over when she laughs. Of course we have the obese who unfortunately through ill health has justified cause for being overweight, but for these supposedly happy people who cry a lot, which is not a sign of happiness, there is no excuse. I may sound harsh in what I say, and what I say is not meant to offend, but it is in your best interest that I let you know of the risks involved if you carry excess weight.
Anyone can lose weight...you just have to want to, to see results. Some overweight people I spoke too said they were not unhappy, but more sad and depressed. Clinical/chronic depression is a chemical imbalance, and it's also a physical condition. Being unhappy doesn't mean you are depressed. It's a normal healthy response to a situation and will lift in a reasonable period of time. To be happy again will take nothing more than to lose weight, but if it is depression you suffer then see a doctor.
Let us look at some of the best ways to lose weight and the reasons why you need to lose it.
When looking to diet you want to stay safe and healthy and to do this you need to look towards the most natural and effective methods. Being overweight can kill you, and so can following the wrong fat loss plan too. If you have decided it is time to be slim and healthy instead of fat and frumpy then we can't jeopardize this by following an unhealthy diet plan. Before embarking on a diet to lose weight, make sure that it is necessary to do so. You'd be surprised how many people think they are fat when they are not, and a prime example of this is people suffering with anorexia. You should calculate your BMI (body mass index) to see if you're the ideal weight for your height.
The best way to lose weight, and keep it off, is to eat a healthy well balanced diet and practice regular exercise. Why people find eating good nutritious foods, and slightly exerting themselves difficult, is beyond me. The two proposed given methods proven as effective ways to achieve weight loss save lives.
Physical movement increases the amount of calories you use up. And this you need. The more exercise practiced the more calories you burn. If you increase the amount of exercise you do without upping food consumption, the extra energy needed will be taken from your stored body fat and you will lose weight. You should aim to do a minimum of at least 30 minutes of exercise a day, going to the gym is not necessary…so there is no excuse like you can't afford the membership fee. Walking and cycling or brisk walking and things like using the stairs instead of the elevator are most effective means of exercise. You should visit your GP for a health assessment before beginning an exercise programme. It is also dangerous to over exert you're self so take things slow at the beginning till your body has adjusted to change.
Choose activities that suit your lifestyle and that you find enjoyable, and by doing this there is every possibility you will stick with the exercise. Exercise is more fun if you have a companion with you while you work out.
To reach and maintain a healthy weight, which not only may save your life, will make you look and feel good, and rid any unhappiness you suffer caused by your obesity. You need to eat a diet that contains balanced amounts of carbohydrates and proteins. Eat five portions of fruit a day and add nutritious vegetables into your daily diet. Avoid foods containing much fat, salt or sugar. What dieters need to be wary of is some foods labeled as low fat, does not always mean low in calories. Keep little fat in your diet because the body needs it to work properly. Having said this you should choose unsaturated fats, such as sunflower, or olive oil, rather than saturated fats, such as lard and butter. The time of day that you eat is important when looking to lose weight. You should eat a healthy breakfast first thing, but eating late of night before going to bed is out of the question.
On the matter of slimming pills, I can't give you a fixed number of the amount of people I know who have ended up seriously sick or out of pocket taking these.. You need to get advice from your doctor about this way of losing weight. Do not buy slimming pills because they can bring side effects and will not benefit your long-term health.
A major problem in the world of obese people is they want to lose weight fast, and this is understandable but you have to be patient. Crash dieting doesn't always work and can be dangerous. If you want to lose weight but do not know where to start, talk to your GP who will give you a dietary and fitness talk and advise you of local slimming clubs and support groups
Meals and snacks for best weight loss results are foods that don't require a frying pan for cooking. A cooking utensil made for holding cooking grease should be thrown out and all foods grilled. You can't beat the green salad in your battle to lose weight. Salads if you're watching your weight should not come with dressing. It is vital when dieting to avoid sauces and creams because they can bring weight gain. Mayonnaise is high in calories and fat so bear this mind before smothering the lettuce in it.
Baked potatoes with baked beans or cottage cheese fillings are better than butter.
The food industry is persistently producing new ‘functional foods' for obese people wanting to lose weight and other factors like reducing blood pressure and cholesterol, along with foods to control blood sugar and insulin levels and much more. When did eating food become so intricate?
Remember it is the mouth that determines how many pounds you put on. Keep it closed if the urge to fill it with fattening foods happens.
In order to lose weight in a healthy way for long term, it is essential you stick to your diet which should contain healthy foods consisting of food groups like carbs, fat, and protein. Top-level comments on this article: (1 total)There is no need to be quite so bloody rude about us overweight people is there? You could quite easily have gotten your point across without resorting to insults. This was a line in this article "I may sound harsh in what I say, and what I say is not meant to "offend."It was not my intention to come across as rude but people differ in how they percieve things, and the route I have taken may just give people an insight to lose the weight their not happy with. In my own family we have them who are overweight also, so forgive me if I offended you personally - but there is no way I would initally try to hurt a person's feeling I don't know, let alone them that I do.SorryKacy
