Itchy Bum - Is it true that "pruritis ani" is some sort of condition linked to the bottom? Yes it is. It is also common and most annoying. If asked what the problem actually is, people who suffer with pruritis ani will say they have an itchy bum, whereas the medics wording would be "anal itching." The condition is more likely to be at its most severe at night or after bowel movement. What causes this to happen? Would you believe, although hygiene is important in regards to keeping the genitals healthy and clean, too much washing of the anus has been blamed for anal itching occurring? Moisture around the anus from extreme sweating or from moist sticky stools is another possible cause.

Each individual varies, so do the causes. In some cases of a loose and/or irritating stool being named for reasoning itchiness was due to high intake of liquids. It's quite worrying to think that some of the given possible causes for the itchy bum complaint are connected too things in our life that is natural for us to do, and out of our jurisdiction to be able to stop or prevent… things like using the loo, and having to eat and drink. The best possible way to help stop your bum itching is to change your cleaning habits, and maybe eating habits too.

Beverages such as beer, milk, citrus juices and drinks containing caffeine, such as coffee, tea and some fizzy soda's can set the ball rolling causing aggravation. Once again due to people's differences not all will be affected by this, but should you be one who is, then help you're self, and cut down or cut out food and drinks you know that cause you to suffer. Some itchy bum cases have proven to be caused by chocolate, fruits, tomatoes, nuts and popcorn. Pruritis ani can come about from pinworms, psoriasis, eczema, dermatitis, haemorrhoids, anal fissures, infections and allergies, although not common. Although stated as uncommon, this just means not often, so they can reason the condition.

You are not to believe all the stories you hear about people who scratch their bum being dirty. How far from the truth this assumption is, pruritis ani is not usually a result of lack of cleanliness. People are more known to have scrupulously clean genitals because they tend to scrub and scrub in hope to rid whatever is causing them to scratch their bottom.

Vigorous cleaning is not good, in fact it is bad because you can worsen the condition by damaging the skin and washing away protective natural oils that are most essential.

Itching and pain be gone! I found a solution to Anal Itch in the Hand Bidet Sprayers  they use in Thailand. Every doctor will tell you that you need to clean but the key is you need to do it without irritating the skin. Difficult to accomplish when you have an itch that is just begging to be scratched. But cleaning with a water spray does just that and it is easy, convenient and no one need know what you are using it for. I bought mine at bathroomsprayers  and installed it myself.

OK, but don't blame me....you asked. Another tip. Simple logic and experience tells us that allot of hemorrhoids are due to straining. With a Hand Bathroom Bidet Sprayer from Bathroomsprayers. com  you can also use it as a sort of home made colonic and shoot a blast of water up the pipes to get things moving. It's 100 times faster than an enema, more confortable, and very efficient and once again no one need know what you are doing or why. Private and confidential. Now you really know what I do with my sprayer. Regards.
