Jedward booted off the X Factor - Will the X Factor ever be the same, will "we" the people ever be the same. What an experience the vast majority of the nation has endured over the weeks - not knowing what Jedward was going to spring on us all. Well the luck of the Irish ran out tonight for John and Edward Grimes who were finally booted off the X Factor. The twins couldn't have expected to last another week on the X Factor. How they could ever believe they could win the talent completion when they had none. When you're up against talent as we know it which comes out of the mouths of Joe McElderry Stacey Solomon and Danyl Johnson then it was always going to be tough. I was going to say Olly Murs as well, but Olly the one I believed to be voted X Factor winner 09 was in the bottom two alongside Jedward. But I'm still sticking to my guns as the public may feel in a good mood next week and see sense and keep him in the running to win the million pound recording contract of which he deserves..
The twins born in Ireland stuck it out, and for that I pat them on the back for staying the distance and taking all the flack from Simon Cowell. They attracted major publicity over time but it was only a matter of time. Sorry boys but tonight you should have kissed the blarney stone before going on stage
The two Paddy's, were in the bottom two along with talented Olly Murs, who has been a favorite all along of both the judges and the X Factor audience. After the sing off Simon Cowell saved Olly Murs, which was only natural, after all, olly is his act. Cheryl Cole sided with Simon Cowell on the vote, but then Louis what was he thinking, he opted to keep Jedward in; oops I forgot the Irish lads were his act.
It was Danni Minnogue who felt the pressure tonight when she was left to take the casting the vote on who goes or who stays in the X factor. The climax was unbelievable when she chose Jedward as the losing act. I think Danni did the right thing to send twins Jedward home, I mean what else was she to do after we all seen what happened when Simon Cowell let it go to public vote. You played it safe Minnogue and saved your bacon, and you cannot be faulted for that. Simon Cowell can take it on the chin and is used to abuse, just as much as he can dish it out. I think if there was sheer mention of burning you at the stake for making the wrong decision, I don't think you could have handled it.
I don't know what was the most exciting, Jedward leaving the stage, or Mariah Carey coming on it to perform and promote the release of her new album, Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel. Even hardened Carey who demands and demands and demand some more, said to presenter Dermot O'Leary that she felt a slight apprehensive singing before X Factor judge Simon Cowell. On hearing this I was glad to know that someone made the worm squirm. There is just something about Mariah Carey I can't take to. Her status and money has gone to head; okay she's got a voice but what's that without personality and true friends.
The great thing to "come out" of this year's X factor aside from john and Edward Grimes is the hit record recorded by the 12 X Factor finalists who have gone straight to number one in the music charts with a cover version of Michael Jackson's You Are Not Alone. What a great song and performed well by some strong singers. All proceeds raised from the record will go to Great Ormond Street Hospital. 193,000 copies have already been sold and still selling like hot cakes. Black Eyed Peas are at number two with Meet Me Halfway and I am sure they will understand why they need to stay in this position in the charts for the song to keep on selling
