The X Factor has by the minute got everyone on the edge of their seats as all the contestants are revving up their act. They are getting better and hitting all the notes of the songs chosen by their mentors (Simon Cowell Cheryl Cole Louis Walsh and Danni Minnogue). Louis had good words for Danyl Johnson on his second performance of the night, and so did Danni. Cheryl said Danyl looked cool, and Johnson's very own mentor Simon Cowell said his performance was sensational. Cheryl Cole went to Lloyd Daniels defence when Simon Cowell said the Elton John song "I'm still standing" she chose for the lad with a cherubic face was totally a bad choice of song, and coming from a pop star of her status she should have known better, he as much implied.

Olly Murs what can I say is a great performer and gifted too with a voice that will sell records, however I am not sure that Simon has any right to pull Cheryl Cole apart for wrong song choice. I am not saying Olly Murs wasn't good, I just believe he could have been given a better Elton John song to sing other than the one Cowell picked for him. But who am I to argue with them supposedly in the know.

Louis Walsh said he liked Mur's dance moves. But it's not the way you move your body and feet on the X Factor that will you get the votes to win the talent competition. Danni said his second song of the night was a difficult song to sing but that he was excellent. Cole said she couldn't understand how he could concentrate with all those sexy girls dancing around him. Simon himself said Olly made the song sound as if it were written for him. Simon admitted to being nervous about the song choice but that Olly Murs still pulled it off. It was all good from the X Factor judges on his performance, so this tells me that my judgement on his time on stage tonight is not that of an expert critic on music, but having said that could the X factor judges not be as expert as they make out, and I am.

I was just merely pointing out with my input above is that I think Olly would have been better singing another song for his second performance.

Joe McElderry I see as another young Donny Osmond and the Elton John song that was sung with boy band Blue "Sorry seems to be the hardest word" was nailed by Joe McElderry to perfection. Louis said he could win the X Factor and loved everything about him. Minnogue said he sang with passion and even begged the public to vote for Joe to win the X Factor 2009. And Simon Cowell turned from ogre to pixie and said the song was sung beautifully by Joe and had nothing but praise for the Geordie lad with a fabulous smile. Cheryl Cole his mentor made it pretty clear she was so proud of him.

Lady in red Stacey the last girl standing in the X Factor made a grand entrance lying on top off a grand piano dressed in an ankle length red evening gown, sang brilliant

Louis said he was crazy about her song and Cheryl Cole said she was doing a good job but that she looked uncomfortable. Simon said she has changed since coming onto the X Factor first and that she is not Leona Leona or Alexandra previous winners of the X Factor. After Dermot O'Leary presenter of the show spoke with Stacey about the X Factor judge's comments on her performance, she was being herself again and so I cannot enlighten you on what she said, simply because of her mumbling and fumbling.

Tonight every contestant showed they were out to win the X Factor talent show 2009 by giving their 100% .They were all singing for their supper to stay in the running, and it's difficult to guess at this stage which finalist doesn't get to eat tomorrow if they get booted off the X Factor.

Tomorrow night we will be seeing and listening to Alicia Keys and Rihanna perform on the X Factor stage. It's going to be an explosive night of entertainment. No matter which singer gets voted off on Sunday night we all know they were a person with talent to have stayed this length.

If it's any consolation to the losers on the show is that you don't have to win the X Factor to go on and become famous and make a lot of money, just look at the success of  opera ace Rhydian - who came second to Leon Jackson  in the 2007 run of the show. Even after winning Leon Jackson is not to be heard of, so maybe it ain't such a bad thing to be runner up.

I think the X factor has changed. It used to be about the singing, but now as long as you please the crowd it does not matter if you can sing or not.

Well we have seen that with Jedward. I don't know whether this is a good thing or bad thing because I never considered myself good enough to compete up against the talented, but now revving myself up for next years auditions.

Keep well
