Americon Idol judge Paula Abdul will not sit with the rest of the panel for the 2010 January series of American Idol. Will Paula Abdul be missed, in my opinon and in a nice way, "no" because on near enough every occasion I could never make head nor tail of what she was saying, and to be honest I don't think she did either, so what was the point of her being there. It was announced she quit the show earlier this week. If she thinks the ratings will go down because of her exit, she had better think again. American Idol is hugely popular in the states and much followed by fans of the talent show here in the UK.

A spokesman for American Idol said they will not be sticking with a three judge format since Paula Abdul quit but are looking to replace her. American Idol starts in January 2010 and Fox's entertainment chairman has said that they will use temporary female guest judges for auditions like famous WAG, wife of famous footballer David Beckham,Victoria Beckham, up until they find someone suitable to take Paula Abduls place permanently.
Producers of the show have pledged to make this year's contest exciting and will have guest judges which will include female pop singers, female performers, female artists and female stars. Victoria Beckham and Katy Perry are said to be logged down in the diary to appear as guests. If you 've heard rumour of Abdul returning, then don't believe all you hear because those involved with the show has said "Our understanding is we've concluded the negotiation."
There has been much controversy rise over Victoria Beckham and the likes going on as a guest judge, as fans of Americal Idol believe she hasn't got a clue, let alone talent herself to be judging others on their ability to sing. Victoria Beckham was a former member of a famous and successful girl band, (The Spice Girls and nicknamed Posh Spice) before going into fashion design, She has her own VB label.
Is it good news for the show that it has been confirmed Simon Cowell will be leaving his position as a judge on America Idol to dedicate more time to launching an American version of The X Factor. People expect to see Simon so who knows. Time will tell and will be determined if he will be missed by who takes over as Mr Nasty. Can there ever be two Simon Cowell's, I don't think so. No doubt they will prove me wrong.
Paulas place on the panel of judges which include Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi has been filled. It was offically announced that Ellen DeGeneres will sit her butt on the seat that Paula Abdul has kept warm for so long in her time as a panel judge. Fox announced Wednesday the talk show host and comedian Ellen DeGeneres, who admittedly has no formal music experience other than a passion for tunes will appear for the ninth season of American Idol starting in January.
America's Got Talent judge Sharon Osbourne, and also ex judge of the X Factor in Britain supported the producers decision in bringing in Ellen DeGeneres as a judge, 'with Ellen, you've got someone who knows about entertaining, and everything that goes into it' said the wife of Ozzy Osbourne.
All I can say is, as long as we can understand what Ellen is saying then the fans of American Idol in America and Britain will warm to her.
