Painful Testicle Lumps
It's not unusual for testicles to swell if they have been harmed after suffering an Injury, and neither is it unusual for lumps to develop because of the the swollen testicles. It's also not a time to get all worked up unless the pain from the injury persists for several hours or you notice bloody urine. Seek medical attention right a way.
Epididymitis - is the swelling of the epididymis, which is simply the connector for the testicle and the tube that transports sperm to the ejaculatory duct, which drains into the urethra. This is normally the result of bacteria being passed from the bladder or urethra and is more of a regular thing in men that are sexually active that are not monogamous or use condoms. With this particular condition men may run a fever, have abdominal as with urination and ejaculation too, and likely in some patients to see blood in their semen.
Mumps and lumps in some cases go together. –Mumps can reason testicle lumps (enlargement of specific glands.)
Testicular torsion can cause severe pain for men. No matter how big and strong a bloke maybe, pain is pain, and with testicular torsion which means twisting of the spermatic cord or testicle which interferes with the blood supply cutting the flow off to the testicle, they will feel the agony from the, swollen testicles which might at this time appear as a testicle lump. It's also a condition that sees men throw their guts too
Painless Testicle Lumps
Hernia – if you have one you will certainly know about it even though not known to be painful. Men supposedly have weak abdominal walls in the groin area and because of this loops of bowel can stick out causing a hernia. A hernia can cause testicle lumps if they locate inside the scrotum.
Hydrocele – is afluid filled cyst. If sterile fluid blocks inside the spermatic cord it can cause hydrocele within the scrotum. Not a painful matter but sometimes the cause of testicle lumps. The testicles can feel heavier than usual like weighted down as if filled with fluid
Varicocele – similar to the above, is a collection of blood rather than other fluid. Much like varicose veins, and reasoned by valves not working as they should thus blood backing into the vein as the outcome.
Now for the true reason why you are here after finding one or more testicle lumps
Lumps are something we associate with testicle cancer; however like we said earlier they can also be a symptoms of the conditions listed above. Until you know for sure what is the genital problem then you are not to worry.
About testicular cancer –Symptom of the disease is a lump or swelling in part of one testicle. The size of the lump is set against the size of a pea or bigger. It is not normally painful, but some men have a dull ache in the affected testicle, or in their lower abdomen. The scrotum holding the testicles may feel heavy.
If the cancer cells spreads to the lymph glands or towards the rear of the abdomen it can cause backache. Sometimes the cancer doesn't stop there it can spread to the lymph nodes in the middle of your chest and between the lungs. If this happens then it's likely to cause the patient to cough and find it hard to breathe or swallow. The chest is likely to swell also.
It's not usual for testicular cancer to spread to other body organs aside from the lungs.
Hey guys it doesn't make you any less of a man to show fear. The quicker a cancer is caught the quicker it is to treat and cure. Men just like girls hold back hoping the problem will go away, or maybe too ashamed to show off their bits to a complete stranger. It's because of shame and waiting round for a miracle to happen that has our doctors trying to perform them.
Do the right thing. If you feel a lump in your testicle or see an unusual discharge coming from the penis, or maybe a chancre on the end, pimples, scabs or whatever else that gives you reason for concern, then that says it's a good enough reason to get medical help.
Is Cancer part of your life and you don't want it to be, or is it other like Male Thrush Infection etc
