Secret Makeup Tricks - What is it with women even though beautiful still find fault with some facial feature or part of their body. These same women go to great lengths and spend a lot of money to get whatever makes them unhappy fixed or bettered. In most cases, a woman not happy with her looks, maybe her shape too or size of her small breasts or big bum will turn to cosmetic surgery.

It starts to gets serious when this route is taken - so serious it can be habit forming. Whatever reason for having an operation whether it's related to having a tummy tuck, saggy skin removed from under the eyes there are always the risks.

You need to look for a more safe option to correct the problem you have a problem with before having a sharp knife try. I say try because not all cosmetic surgeries are 100% in giving the perfect results. If you work with makeup and particular cosmetics then at least if something goes wrong, it can be washed off and you simply start again. But when the skin's been sliced here and there and stitched then no amount of water will put right what went wrong.

Below are some helpful beauty-tips using makeup that may help you put right the issue you might have with your eyes, belly flab, nose, small breasts, mouth, lips or whatever else that is causing you sleepless nights, of which I hasten to add can cause bags under the eyes?

Secret Makeup Tricks - How to make your face appear thinner

Use contouring to make your face look thinner. Apply blush correctly and your face will look thinner. Your cheek palette should consist of 3 shades of cheek colours (Dark medium light) Starting with the darkest tone – apply below the cheekbones even if they aren't apparent. Don't go past the outer corner of the eyes, and apply it over to the hairline while blending it in with your fingertips. Remember, makeup is meant to improve and not alter appearances, so the more natural looking your attempt at creating cheekbones the more real they will appear. Apply a bronzing powder on either side of your throat to extend the lines of your neck.

Are your eyes small and want them to look bigger

Eyeliner is a vital asset for helping do this. Line the whole top lash line and then extend that line slightly at the corners of your eye. Be careful with colour. Soft smoky shades will open up your eyes more than thin hard lines of liner. Use deep and neutral colours with a small amount of black for lining, Bright is to light and makes eyes look small. Eyelashes are a great eye opener. Curl your lashes before applying your mascara: once at the base, another half way up, and a third time at the tip. Fan out your lashes while the mascara goes on. Go for two coats of mascara and no more it is not needed, as mascara gets heavy and will clog up the lashes. Strong eye shadow will cause your eyes to shrink by shading them back into your face so be wary. Stick with light-coloured shadows to be safe. Don't wear more than two shades at one time. Brush a light, subtle base colour from your lashes to your brow. Then using a darker shade you will create a subtle definition in the eyelid's crease.

The shape of your eyebrows can have much impact on how the eyes look. If you have brows that are too close together then spread them out. Pluck your eyebrows further out than you might usually do. And it's best to get your eyebrows about an eye length apart if possible.

Secret Makeup Tricks - Out of most beauty complaints its wrinkles that come out on top, where you see women in great numbers flock to clinics and queue up like steer at a cattle market to have their wrinkles smoothed out with the help of cosmetic surgery.

To temporarily smooth wrinkles, apply tape over them and leave on overnight. After removing the tape there'll be instant smoothing of the lines for a short while. Some girls pinch the area for 10 seconds before applying their night cream. This increases circulation and helps firm the spot that is lined or sagging

How to make a large nose look smaller

To make a big nose look half its size, use shadowing on either side of the nose. Use bronzing powder that you use on the cheeks,

How to cover freckles:

It has always been said that freckles are a sign of beauty but try telling that to the woman with them, and there having none of it. Foundations vary according to coverage. If you opt for using sheer coverage, then the freckles will slightly show. If you go deep and choose medium or full coverage then you stand a great chance of no sight of the freckles at all. Don't make the mistake a lot of girls make by mismatching. Match the colour of the freckles, and not your neck.

Puffy Eyes

If you're puffy eyes are not caused by an allergy then use an eye treatment that will help circulation and drain any fluid that is filled around the eyes. Try cold moist tea bags or cucumber slices placed over your peepers to help soothe and relieve irritation caused by tired puffy eyes.

Lip Lines

It's best to ask an expert on what lip items to use that helps soften lip lines. This will guarantee you get the right product. Facial masks are effective for softening lines. Some face masks can be applied in a thin layer and let dry before applying foundation thus giving an instant lift.

Eye lash Curler

When buying an eye lash curler make sure it's one that curves with your eye. Use it before applying mascara, hold, count to 5, and then apply mascara straight after. The mascara will hold the curl. Don't use an eye lash curler over mascara to avoid lash damage

Blemishes is a common concern that we see makeup and cosmetics popularly used for covering up or trying to hide.

If you're susceptible to acne (spots boils blackheads and pimples), make sure you treat the skin so it's able to fight back against acne Use an oil-free moisturizer every day This helps makeup go on smoothly and evens out your skin. Use an oil free concealer that matches your skin tone. Keep to this and don't be tempted to change shade - going to light or too dark will attract attention to the pimple or other. The concealer brush will give better results if it has smooth synthetic bristles and purposely created for cream not powder. Apply concealer directly onto the blemish and leave for 15 seconds before you blend. Don't brush the centre of the spot; fan out the edges of the concealer to make it blend seamlessly. Pat a thin layer of translucent powder over the whole area.

Have you got thin lips and want them to look fuller

Make the lips look fuller with the help of lip liner. Select a lip liner nearest to your natural lip colour. Blend the liner to the middle of your lip to avoid a severe edge. Now apply lipstick in a colour slightly lighter or the same shade as the lip liner, and apply gloss for a super finish to make a pout that will make Victoria Beckham green with envy.

Nearly every teen with teenage spots spend their pocket money on skin products. Unfortunately what they buy for treating their teenage acne is normally useless and dangerous.

Clear natural complexion (flawless skin)

If skin is not 100% avoid beauty products that matte the skin as it doesn't reflect the light. Light is needed for the skin to appear flawless. Create an incandescent look, buy a liquid highlighter with a soft shimmer, and blend a few drops to your foundation. Or, if using a powder based highlighter, mix with a little loose powder and pat over your face with a brush to set your foundation.

Do you have big lips and want them to look smaller

Make your lips look smaller, line the inner part of your lip with a neutral colour. Use dark matte colours to make lips appear smaller. Avoid lip gloss and shimmery products.

Liked this article Kacy- I've worn make-up since I was 14, and am always looking for new ways to apply it better. I tell you, it gets harder and takes longer the older I get- so I am always on the lookout for improvement.- Thanks --Ella.
