Edwin Valero dead: Venezuelan champion boxer Edwin Valero has committed suicide in jail. It's reported that he was found hanged in his prison cell using his own clothes after confessing to the murder of his wife.
Boxer Edwin Valero had been arrested and took in for questioning over the death of his 24 year old wife. He was detained while further investigations into her murder was probed. Today no more questions will he answer.
A prisoner in another cell said he heard odd sort of sounds coming from the cell the boxer was holed up in which made him suspicious that something wasn't right. He went to investigate and saw the limp lifeless body of boxer Valero hanged.
Known as "The Inca", the 28-year-old father of two, was taken into custody on suspicion of murdering his wife, (Jennifer Carolina Viera de Valero, 24).and then charged on Sunday. The stabbing took place in a room at the InterContinental Hotel in the city of Valencia.
This is not the first time he had knocked his wife around, Valero was detained in March for ill-treating his wife, and not so long after this incident that involved the police being called, he then knife's her to death. Edwin, hard man in the boxing ring has chosen to take the coward way out, and committed suicide.
The sad part about it all is we have two young children, a seven-year-old boy and a five-year-old girl left without parents.
"This is a huge tragedy for the world of boxing, fans said, and I agree, however he brought it all on himself, and for that I find it hard to forgive him for denying his two beautiful children having to grow up without their mom and dad.
"The 'Inca' Edwin Valero is the only one responsible for what happened, for his behaviour." Nonetheless and in respect to his/her family may the boxing champion and his wife Jennifer, who he killed, R.I.P. Let's pray that their loved ones left behind can try and come to terms with the tragic and horrifying way the people they loved died.
