David Blaine: Some say the guy who likes to challenge himself to do things that medics say are not possible, is awesome, but I tend to question this and ask is David Blaine for real. What gives me reason to think this is was the time he was buried alive in a coffin for 7 whole days in April 1999 without food. Okay he had water but that don't fill the belly of a grown man. Any normal bloke might have died in this situation.
Blaine is an American illusionist and endurance artist", best known for his street magic.

David Blaine was born April 4, 1973 in Brooklyn New York. Throughout the years as an illusionist artist he had gone under many names; Blaine is his middle name he was given at birth. He was brought up by his mother Patrie White. She held down 3 jobs to put food in their mouths. David only ever knew of his father but never met him
He was only four years old when his mom took him to see a magical show performed by a magician in an alleyway; this inspired him to buy his first trick, The Pencil through the Card. Magic was always going to be part of his life due the relationship he had with maths and science. Gypsy blood ran in the family because David's grandmother was one, who taught him all there was to know about tarot cards.
Money was tight in the Blaine household, so buying magic bits and bobs was a no go, and therefore he spent many tiring hours in libraries researching magic. Blaine's mother encouraged and supported her son in every way.
He was ten years old when his mother remarried. She wed John Bukalo, a banker, and moved to Jerseyville where she gave birth to another son half-brother Michael.
When David was 21, he had to cope with losing his mother who died of ovarian cancer. She was only 48 and her passing hit Blaine very hard. David's way of coping with his loss was to dedicate all his time to magic.
Blain was your common street magician who got gigs at parties hosted by the rich and famous. Because of his talent and unusual ways, he was able to draw up connections to ABC. After watching a video tape of the magician in action, they requested an interview and began organizing a special. David Blaine: Street Magic, his first special was to change his life forever
He became a worldwide phenomenon at 24 years old.
The women in David's life included a relationship with Madonna, Fiona Apple, and model Josie Moran. He is well connected (friendship) to some major superstars, namely Leonardo DiCaprio. Famous people he performed magic in front of are Al Pacino, Jack Nicholson, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Mike Tyson, and President Clinton.
David Blaine highly admired the work of the late great Houdini, his idol, and it was the escapologist's granddaughter who gave her approval to David being buried alive for seven days,
